Coffee and conversation [rp for
lookoutearth]
It was crazy to make a coffee date with a boy that lived in Cincinnati...unless the one making the date was Anne Forsythe.
Calmly making the date and getting the address from Aaron via e-mail, Anne packed a small suitcase with the confidence of a woman who knew that somehow, the universe was listening. Her plans were set in stone, her future certain even if she wasn't aware of the details.
So it was that Monday morning came, and with it the call from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. They were interested in doing a spread for Playboy, especially after the wonderful photo spread that had just come out this week, and wouldn't that be a lovely followup?...
Having posed in the Rock 'n Raunch spread, it was only logical Anne head out with a photographer in tow to take some pictures and meet about the possible article.
She booked her flight, easily making time for the Tuesday coffee meeting since she didn't have to be in Cleveland until Friday. Arriving in the morning, she found her hotel with little trouble and did a little sightseeing before she headed for the address she'd been given. She was a few minutes early, as she expected to be, but instead of going in to order she waited outside for Aaron. After all, if she went in he might think she hadn't shown up, and that wouldn't do at all.
Besides, the weather was just lovely...almost reminded her a little bit of Boston.

"I'm very proud of what I do." she went on, shrugging as she took another sip of her coffee. "Granted, it's not as honest a day's work as yours...I mean, you have a real career, one that can make a difference...but I make a living and bring a lot of people joy doing it. I just see nothing wrong with sex or the human body. If it's done tastefully, there's an art to erotic photography. I hesitate to call it pornography, because when it's done really well it's more art than anything."

He downed most of his coffee in an attempt to wake himself up a little. "There is absolutely nothing wrong with sex or expressing your body the way you see fit. Being a bodybuilder, I can say we show our bodies off as much as we possibly can. Some people find it weird, some people like it. You can't please everyone." He smiled softly at her, eyes dancing over her face.
no subject
"You're a bodybuilder? Seriously?" she asked, reaching out to touch his arm again. Giving his bicep a squeeze, she smoothed her hand over his shoulder, then laid it briefly against his chest, just over his heart and laughed in delight at the feel of solid muscle beneath her palm.
"Oh, I can definitely see it." she beamed, withdrawing her hand. "Do you compete? The speedo, greasing yourself up, the whole thing?"
no subject
Aaron took her hand before she withdrew it completely, giving her knuckles a kiss. He was always known for physical affection. "I competed a whole shitload when I was in college, and up until a few years ago I did it every year...But y'know, the firm came along and I had to focus on it's success."
no subject
"I'm sure your pores are thanking you." she teased. "After a while, all that grease has got to get to your skin...did you ever grease yourself up with cooking spray? I heard once that's an old bodybuilding trick."
no subject
"So, what are you doing all the way out here? Besides this amazing date we're on." He teased with a grin, finishing off the last of his coffee. He was finally starting to feel awake which added to how strong his senses were. This was definitely going to take some getting used to.

He smiled, "Want to go for a little walk? The park isn't far from here." The coffee shop was starting to fill up, and he wanted to be able to speak to her in a normal voice, rather than yelling.
no subject
His offer to go for a walk was met with another sunny smile as she shifted to stand. "I'd love to." she assured him. "Speaking of the great outdoors, is there any good hunting out here? Maybe I can catch a little of that while I'm in town."
no subject
Standing, he offered her his hand, "There isn't a huge werewolf population in Cincinnati, to be honest, but when my clan gets together we usually head up to Cuyahoga Valley, which is about three hours north of here. Not a bad drive." He said thoughtfully, "I'd be happy to take you."
no subject
Accepting his hand, she stood with a bright, happy-little-girl smile. "Oh, that would be fabulous!" she gushed. "Is the game good? I hunt mostly deer in California, and coyotes when I have to. They're a problem when you live in the Valley like I do, always coming down to cause trouble. Had a coyote kill one of my dogs years ago, I've hated them ever since."
no subject
Aaron tangled his fingers in hers and started off towards the local park, which usually wasn't all that busy during the day. "Delicious game. It's pretty bountiful to the point where you could nab a few coyotes and no one would really notice." He frowned, "Damn bastard coyotes. Sorry to hear about your dog." He squeezed her hand gently.
no subject
"Thanks, but I was twenty." she soothed, squeezing his hand right back. Strength, he was strong, too. She didn't have to worry about holding his hand too tight. "I killed the one that did it, and I have another dog now. And a cockatoo. Hulk Hogan and Happy Jack, respectively. They get along surprisingly well."
no subject
He leaned his head against hers for a bit, then chuckled lowly. "Hulk Hogan and Happy Jack, eh? Nice choice of names." He beamed down at her, "I wish I had animals of my own, I just can't find the right one for me."
When they reached the park, Aaron pulled her with him to a bench near the lake. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders casually, "Have you met a lot of werewolves? I have to admit, I'm a bit sheltered. My clan is really all I know."
no subject
"A few...none of them particularly nice meetings." she replied honestly. "There's a powerful werewolf clan that's a sworn enemy of all the families among my kind, the Guardians of the Stones they call themselves. Old, powerful, arrogant." Glancing over at him, she smiled and patted the arm he had draped casually around her shoulders.
"Not to fret, you don't smell anything like them." she assured him brightly. "What about your family? Tell me more about your clan."
