An elegantly wrapped flat box is delivered to Annie's door. Inside the present there is a vintage dress (http://www.poshgirlvintage.com/1950s-classic-halter-evening-dress-p-16.html) and a little folded over note that has somewhat messy writing scrawled over it.

Don't know why but I thought of you when I saw this in a store across from where I was in a meeting. Wear it to dinner. Call me to let me know when to pick you up.
